The 2003 album If He is Protecting Our Nation Then Who Will Protect Big Oil, Our Children? is re-released, after a long hiatus, this week on Polyvinyl. Originally released by Track & Field Records in the U.K. (and, in slightly different form, as a tour-only CD in 2002), Big Oil compiles various singles, songles, and studio outtakes from between 2000 and 2003, including the rare Archibald of the Balding Sparrows 7″, the notorious “There is Nothing Wrong with Hating Rock Critics,” and the Zombies cover “Friends of Mine.” It’s available right now from Polyvinyl Records.
