“There was this character I created called Georgie Fruit, and now I wish I never did, because people are like, “is that a Kevin Barnes song, or a Georgie Fruit song?”… and really there’s no difference. They’re all Kevin Barnes songs, and I don’t like that idea of people seeing a division. I feel like no one is really getting this. So many people are stubbornly saying “oh this is a Georgie Fruit song, and this is a Kevin Barnes song.” This article said that too. I think that this super album deserves to be properly understood. BTW, just wanted to say thanks for an unbelievingly amazing Halloween show.
