Amazing….Great lyrics, energy….However, lose the makeup and whatever it’s attempting to achieve. Be confident and stop listening to the publicist / marketing agent. You all have the talent to attract an audience based on musical skill as opposed to trend.
I closed my eyes and heard the talent….

pvs, it’s not the marketing agent or the publicist. It is of Montreal putting on a show. Their live performances are more than just music. That is something that long time of Montreal fans have come to adore and depend on.

I don’t know if you caught my twitter message, but when I caught the live video of “Sex Karma” on Pitchfork, I was blown away. So damn catchy! Then, I listened to the youtube rip from the studio album and was depressed. All the subtlety and band sound disappeared. Even the singer’s vocals trying to imitate a fade sound so much cooler than that achieved by technology. You guys are an amazing live band, but your studio albums can sound too polished; the singer has a wonderful voice that she be allowed to sound organic and not so processed. So, please as compensation for the fact that your studio albums don’t sound quite as amazing as what little live footage I’ve seen, could you PLEASE release some live albums?
Please release this performance of “Sex Karma” as an easily purchasable hard copy b-side. I had the same problem with your Pitchfork festival performance of “The Party’s Crashing Us” sounding better than the album version; I loved the way the synths built one on top of the other like a Cure song.
Anyway, I’m a new fan and I’ve bought 3 albums this month. I’ve ordered 3 more and preordered “False Priest”, so please consider my pleas!

I think it’s about time oM got back on the teevee. Why so few television appearances? The KDHX radio track from St. Louis (“Flunkt Sass vs. the Root Plume”) sounded FANTASTIC with all those vocal changes. Right now Barnes is as magical as Bowie was in his prime and too few people know it. Hear that radio track (along with two others) here: http://thebootypatrol.blogspot.com/
